Sambhar lake/Sambhar Jhil is India’s largest saline salt lake. It is located in Sambhar town around 2 and half hours away from Jaipur.

There are several different sites where you can enjoy the raw nature. You can also see mesmerising sunrises and sunsets from Sambhar lake.

In the last week of January you can also enjoy “Sambhar Festival“. Its a two-day festival organized by Rajasthan Tourism Department. The fair offers many cultural and adventure sports activities to tourists.

Bhangarh Fort was built in the 17th century by Raja Madho Singh. It is located amidst the Aravalli Mountain range on the border of Sariska Tiger Reserve National Park.

It was built in the 9th century by King Chanda to preserve water. Chand bawri has 3500 steps arranged in a great symmetry. It is one of the largest step-wells in the world.

Tourism department often organizes Abhaneri festival for 2 days in October month. Recently organized cultural festival showcased folk dance & singing performance by local artists.

Interesting fact: The famous movie “Dark Knight Rises” was also shot here.
