Sambhar lake/Sambhar Jhil is India’s largest saline salt lake. It is located in Sambhar town around 2 and half hours away from Jaipur.

There are several different sites where you can enjoy the raw nature. You can also see mesmerising sunrises and sunsets from Sambhar lake.

In the last week of January you can also enjoy “Sambhar Festival“. Its a two-day festival organized by Rajasthan Tourism Department. The fair offers many cultural and adventure sports activities to tourists.

Interesting Fact: Akbar wedded Amer’s princess Jodha Bai at Sambhar Lake in 1562.

2. Bhangarh Fort

Bhangarh Fort is a must-visit tourist place near Jaipur within 100 km. The fort has a different vibe among youngsters because of the haunted stories about Bhangarh Fort.

For that reason, authorities don’t allow tourists to enter the fort after sunset.

Bhangarh Fort was built in the 17th century by Raja Madho Singh. It is located amidst the Aravalli Mountain range on the border of Sariska Tiger Reserve National Park.

3. Chand Bawri

Chand Bawri is a beautiful, 64 feet deep step well located in Abhaneri village of the Dausa district.

It was built in the 9th century by King Chanda to preserve water. Chand bawri has 3500 steps arranged in a great symmetry. It is one of the largest step-wells in the world.

Tourism department often organizes Abhaneri festival for 2 days in October month. Recently organized cultural festival showcased folk dance & singing performance by local artists.

Interesting fact: The famous movie “Dark Knight Rises” was also shot here.

5. Mokham Vilas, Kishangarh

If you are coming to see Gundolav lake then don’t miss visiting Mokham Vilas.

It is located in the middle of Gundolav lake and easily accessible via a pathway.

However in the rainy season, the pathway may get submerged, and entry might not be possible.

6. Kishangarh Fort & Phool Mahal Palace, Kishangarh
