Top 10 Great Places to Visit Near Udaipur

Udaipur is one of my favourite places to visit in Rajasthan and why not the charming city has everything to win anybody’s heart. I visited Udaipur last year and had a great time. 

This time I thought about exploring nearby places to visit in Udaipur. So, When I googled Udaipur tourist places near me, I found few have listed cities which are too far from Udaipur. 

So, here I am sharing a compiled list of the top 10 places to visit near Udaipur which are genuinely Udaipur’s nearby places.

1. Eklingji Temple

Eklingji Temple is a prime tourist destination near Udaipur. It is shaded in Eklingji also known as Kalashpuri. 

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva(Eklingji). There is a four faced idol of Shiva each depicting four different forms of Shiva.

The craving on the walls and pillars of the temple are excellent examples of Hindu architecture.

2. Delwara

Ruled by the brave jhala Rajput’s Delwara is a historically rich town near Udaipur. It is also known as the town of temples and Gods.

3. Rayta

Rayta is a small village near Udaipur district. The Nandeshwar Temple and Mahadev temple are main attractions in Rayta.

Alsigarh is the least explored village near Udaipur. The best time to visit Alsigarh is during monsoon when everything turns lush green.

5. Nathdwara

Nathdwara is a charming town situated near Udaipur. It is prominently known for Shrinathji Temple which was built in the 17th century. 

Statue of Belief or Vishwas Swaroopam is also another tourist attraction in Nathdwara. It is the tallest statue of Shiva. The interiors have a viewing gallery, Glass Bridge. The place also has an herbal garden,fountain, foodcourt, handicraft shop and mini train for sightseeing.

6. Haldighati

Haldighati is among the most amazing historic places to see near Udaipur. This place is commonly known for The Battle of Haldighati which was fought between Maharana Pratap and Man Singh I.

7. Rajsamand Lake

Serene and beautiful Rajsamand lake situated in Rajsamand is the best place near Udaipur. This lake was built in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh.

10. Sahastrabahu Temple

Sahastrabahu Temple is situated in Nagda village near Udaipur. These twin temples are also Known as saas bahu temples by localities.

The temple is dedicated to Virbhadra(Lord Vishnu) and was built in the 10th century. The beautiful intricate carving on the walls and ceiling will leave you awestruck.

It is a great place if you are looking for less crowded and offbeat places near Udaipur.
