Overview: Udaipur has many tourist places around the city but I struggled to find genuinely Udaipur nearby attractions online. So I’m sharing a list of the top travel destinations near Lake City. These tourist places are located around 100 km distance (1.5 to 2 hours journey).

Udaipur is one of my favourite places to visit in Rajasthan. The charming city has everything to win anybody’s heart. I visited Udaipur last year and had a great time. 

This time, I thought of visiting nearby places in Udaipur. So, I googled Udaipur tourist places near me (Udaipur ke aas pass ghumne ki jagah).

I found travel articles mentioning places 300-400 km from Udaipur and wondered how they could be considered near, since 300 km isn’t close.

If I faced that issue, I am sure others are facing it too.

So, I am sharing a list of the ‘top places to visit near Udaipur’ (These places are genuinely near Udaipur).

1. Eklingji Temple

Ekling Ji Temple is a great place to visit near Udaipur within 50 km distance. It is located between two hills known as Kailashpuri. 

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Eklingji). There is a four faced idol of Shiva each depicting four different forms of Shiva.

The craving on the walls and pillars of the temple are excellent examples of Hindu architecture.

2. Delwara

Ruled by the brave Jhala Rajput’s Delwara is a historically rich town near Udaipur. It is also known as the town of temples and Gods. 

It has hundreds of Hindu and Jain temples. It is one of the must visit places near Udaipur.

3. Shivalik Dam, Udaipur

Shivalik Dam is a perfect tourist places near Udaipur within 100 km distance. It is famous among Udaipurites for a scenic location, a pool and refreshing waterfall.

4. Rayta

Rayta is a small village near Udaipur district. The Nandeshwar Temple and Mahadev temple are main attractions in Rayta.

The whole village is soaked in lush greenery and is one of the popular places to enjoy nature near Udaipur.

5. Alsigarh

Alsigarh is the least explored village near Udaipur. The best time to visit Alsigarh is during monsoon when everything turns lush green.

6. Nathdwara

Nathdwara is a charming town situated near Udaipur. It is prominently known for Shrinathji Temple which was built in the 17th century. 

Statue of Belief or Vishwas Swaroopam is another prominent tourist attraction in Nathdwara. It is the tallest statue of Shiva.

The place is adorned with lush green herbal garden all around the statue.

Along with that there is food court, handicraft shop and mini train for sightseeing.

Pichwai paintings, terracotta work, handicrafts and attars are few famous things you can shop from Nathdwara.

7. Haldighati

Haldighati is among the most amazing historic places to see near Udaipur. This place is commonly known for The Battle of Haldighati which was fought between Maharana Pratap and Man Singh I.

The Maharana Pratap Museum depicts the insights of Maharana Pratap’s life.

If you are a history enthusiast then this is a must visit place for you.

8. Rajsamand Lake

9. Ranakpur

Ranakpur is a small town of Rajasthan and one of the most amazing tourist places near Udaipur.

It is especially famous for the Jain temples built in 15 th century. Jain Temples notable for its exquisite marble architecture and sculpture.

10. Chittorgarh Fort

Home to the Rajput warriors, Chittorgarh Fort is the most famous historic place near Udaipur within 150 km range. It is also one of the largest forts of India.

11. Sahastrabahu Temple

Sahastrabahu Temple is situated in Nagda village near Udaipur. These twin temples are also Known as saas bahu temples by localities.

The temple is dedicated to Virbhadra (Lord Vishnu) and was built in the 10th century. The beautiful intricate carving on the walls and ceiling will leave you awestruck.

It is a great place if you are looking for less crowded and offbeat places near Udaipur.

12. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Aravalli hills near Udaipur. It spans over 578 square kilometers and offers a diverse range of flora and fauna.

You can spot animals such as leopards, wolves, and various species of birds in this wildlife sanctuary. It is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers.

Some trekking trails in Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary provide an immersive experience in the natural beauty of the Mewar region.

13. Kumbhalgarh Fort

Kumbhalgarh Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fort is well-known for its massive walls extending over 36 kilometers.

World Record: Kumbhalgarh Fort has the second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China.

This fort was built in the 15th century by Maharana Kumbha. The fort is built on a hilltop 1,100 meters above sea level and offers stunning views of the surrounding Aravali mountain range.

Kumbhalgarh Fort has numerous palaces, temples, and gardens. It shows the rich history and architectural brilliance of the Mewar region.

14. Bheel Beri Waterfall

Bheel Beri Waterfall is located on Pali-Rajsamand border near Kamlighat Choraha.

The waterfall is a hidden gem known for its peaceful ambiance and picturesque beauty.

The waterfall creates a refreshing pool at the base and many visitors dip in the cool waters to beat the heat.

15. Baghdarrah Nature Park

Valley of Flowers (फूलों की घाटी) is located in Chirwa Ghata of Udaipur. It is a stunning natural heaven famous for colorful flowers and lush greenery.

This picturesque valley in Udaipur offers breathtaking views, quiet walking paths, and a peaceful escape from city life.

Valley of Flowers is an ideal tourist place near Udaipur for nature enthusiasts & photographers.

18. Luv Kush Vatika, Udaipur

Luv Kush Vatika in Udaipur is a new and hidden tourist destination. It is surrounded by lush green forest and water bodies.

There are many walking trails in Luv Kush Vatika that offers peace and joy. You can also find a hanging bridge here in this Luv Kush Vatika. This bridge is already viral in Udaipur.

This place has a raw appeal. It is not fancy and that is the USP of this park. Forest department has designed this travel destination of Udaipur by using natural materials.

19. Mewar Biodiversity Park

Udaipur’s Mewar Biodiversity Park is a big (22 sq. km) ecological treasure with diverse plant and animal life.

You can see many species of birds and native flora in this park. The park offers a unique mix of arid and semi-arid ecosystems that attract researchers and nature lovers.

There is an interpretation center where you can watch a biodiversity show. You can also enjoy adventure sports like zip lines, valley crossings, and tree walks in Mewar Biodiversity Park.

20. Pratap Gaurav Kendra

Pratap Gaurav Kendra is a prestigious spot in Udaipur to learn about the courageous warrior and King of Mewar Maharana Pratap.

This center celebrates the life and achievements of Maharana Pratap, known for his bravery and patriotism.

Here, you can see a 57-foot-tall (Weighing 40,000 kg) statue of Maharana Pratap, a statue of Chetak (The brave horse of Maharana Pratap), an art gallery, different exhibits, and multimedia presentations.
